-MHSA LEGISLATION UPDATE-
Please note that the Chief Inspector of the Department of Mineral Resources has published a new Guideline for a Mandatory Code of Practice (MCOP) in terms of Section 9 of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
By publishing the Guideline on the Prevention of Fires at Mines, an obligation in terms of Section 9(2) is placed on Employers to draft the corresponding Code of Practice.
